The West 30th St. Huddle will provide needed support to build and sustain excitement, visibility, and excellence in all things Saint Ignatius football.
Our Vision
The West 30th St. Huddle will be a force that grows and bonds the Saint Ignatius football community to support the tradition and innovation to elevate our players and coaches to new heights while forging lasting legacies. We aspire to be recognized as a key driver in assisting the development of premier student athletes who compete at the highest levels while embodying the core values of spirituality, sportsmanship, and academics excellence, and reflecting what it means to be an Ignatius Man.
Core Tenets
The “West 30th Street Huddle” now “Huddle” will always act within Father Robert Welsh’s ’54 credo. “The purpose of our education is to give a young man the tools whereby he can answer the question What does God want from me?
The “Huddle” will promote and support all athletics in accordance with “Men for Others” and the Articles of Faith on the Field, of SIHS. However, football is the primary focus.
The “Huddle” will maintain its organization as a separate legal and financial entity from “SIHS"
The “Huddle” will not represent itself as an associate, employee or representative of “SIHS”.
The “Huddle” will be transparent with all financial data with its independent Trustees, Board, and Advisors. The “Huddle” offers no tax deductions. The org. will distribute a semi-annual financial statement.
The “Huddle” (trustees, board, advisors, and members), shall not discuss financial aid or tuition assistance directly or indirectly or through any individual or entity with any prospective student and or their family. Nor will the “Huddle” offer tuition assistance to any prospective candidate or his family.
The “Huddle” will not pay SIHS coaches a stipend, bonus or any other remuneration. We, however request the option to contribute to the Patricia and Charles Kyle Endowment Fund which was established specifically to increase salaries of coaches.
The “Huddle” will neither allow or tolerate negative, hateful, or discriminatory comments on the website or any of our social media outlets.
The “Huddle” will abide by all OHSAA Rules, Policies, and Practices that govern high school booster clubs. Especially with recruiting and fan game attendance.
Any appointed Trustee, Board Member, Advisor or Huddle member who violates any written tenets will be removed summarily.
